The Villa of the Swiss Water Room enjoys an exceptional location, facing the Orangery of the Palace of Versailles and the Hundred Marches, it borders the Swiss water feature and its park with its hundred-year-old trees.
The house is very bright, comfortable and keeps the charm and atmosphere of a “family home”.
Here you are just a step away from the shops, the restaurants of the street of Satory, the Cathedral Saint-Louis: you are immersed in the historical district of Versailles!

• Versailles is served by three stations (Gare Rive Gauche, Gare Rive Droite, and Gare des Chantiers) which are all close enough to the house, they offer you to reach Paris in 20 minutes. By car, access to motorways is extremely simple and fast, you can radiate without wasting time in traffic jams.

“Bed in Versailles” offers you the advantages of a bed and breakfast in a magical place for an unforgettable experience!

The guest rooms are located on the second floor of the house.

Our house

Our house is warm and original with all its eclectic objects, picked over the years. A mix of colors and materials, period and style. We like to receive and travel, that’s why we wanted to open our house and share it with “our fellow travelers”.
We will be happy to advise you according to your desires and especially to share with you our good addresses, a restaurant, a walk to make you discover our district Saint-Louis and the city of Versailles.

To receive you from us is a real desire to share with you the beauty of this extraordinary city and the atmosphere of a family life. Our two Kaninchish dachshunds Handel and Hendrix, Goya and Munch our Labradoodles are very affectionate. They will welcome you warmly upon your arrival and each morning (they live only on the ground floor).

A French breakfast and very homemade
assortment of breads Hugo prepares himself, pastries, homemade jams with tea, coffee or chocolate, fresh fruit juice and homemade yoghurt. We serve it in the dining room, weekdays from 7:30 to 8:30 and the weekend between 8 and 9:30, or even in the garden if the weather allows it.

Our garden

Our garden is a peaceful haven, blessed with the same soil as the nearby Royal kitchen garden.
We grow cherries, apples, pears, figs, kiwi, strawberries, raspberries, currants, rhubarb and herbs. We loves trees and flowers : roses, hydrangeas, geraniums, tulips, lilac, wisterias, boxwood..
This is not a garden designed by Le Nôtre but is a place to unwind and enjoy nature after long walks in Versailles.
Deck chairs are waiting for you, to dream of past (Louis XIV) magic in this very special town.

Breakfast and picnic in the garden
 Breakfast is offered for each person each night, it is served on week days between 7.30am and 8.30am and on weekends between 8am and 9.30am.
Please order your picnic a day ahead.

Our family

We will be happy to welcome you and help you discover Versailles. Having you with us is a real blessing, we love to share the beauty of this extraordinary city, and the atmosphere of a family life. Our four grown-up children, can give you some advice according to your wishes, like book a restaurant, call a taxis and share their good addresses in Versailles.
I  love painting and you will discover my paintings and taste for decoration, the rest of the family likes sports: Hugo can talk for hours about judo,tennis, golf, ski, montain bike race… Louise practicing bikram yoga and wakeboard, Blanche riding horses, Jules practice boxing, and Léon plays rugby and monocycle…

Our two small Dachshunds, Haendel & Hendrix, Goya & Munch our Labradoodles, are very affectionate and will welcome you warmly upon your arrival and every morning (they only stay on the ground floor). Only Fred the cat, who is not allowed in your room, can walk all around the house.
Véronique and Caroline our turtles await you in the garden for breakfast if the weather permits, for a picnic that you can book the day before.

Your room

The rooms are located on the second floor of the house.

Louise’s room is the most spacious room she has a double exposure with a magical view of the Swiss Water Room, the Orangery of the Palace of Versailles in the West and the Saint-Louis Cathedral in the East .
Very calm, comfortable, luminous, and warm with its warm painted walls “La Margaut” by Zuber & Cie.
You have a corner office with unlimited internet access and wi-fi and a sofa (bed for a child up to 10 years old and a cot for a baby).
A wardrobe to hang and hang your things.
The king size bed of 180 x 200 is very comfortable.

Bathroom adjoining the bedrooms (on the landing), composed of a large rain shower, double sink and toilet.
We provide you with bath linen (flax and soft sponge) and toiletries (shampoo, shower gel), hair dryer and straightener.
A library and board games are also available.
We also offer a babysitting service.

If you are a couple with a child under 10, you can book Louise’s room.

If you are more numerous, with family or friends, you can rent our two rooms together, (4 people) that of Louise and Leon, with its common bathroom.

Leon’s room is smaller, ideal for a person traveling alone or for children.
Bright, cozy, and very British painted in “Acid Drop” a very old color from “Farow & Ball”.
You can admire from the window, the Cathedral Saint-Louis and the horticulture school of Versailles.
The queen size bed 160 X 200 very comfortable.

Rules & regulations

We are happy to welcome you to our house, which unlike a hotel plunges you into a family setting.

Our prices are flexible according to the seasons and events in Versailles.
Due to the high season (May to October) and the big weekends, we can request a reservation of a minimum of two nights.

To make your arrival comfortable and to receive you in the best arrangements, please tell me your arrival times 24 hours in advance by phone + 33 622 60 05 84 or by e-mail. Please, notify us in advance if there is an hourly change or delay.

We are ready to welcome you from 17h until 20h.
Our parking is available from 17h until 17h the next day.

The room must be vacated before 11am.
Keys are given upon arrival in exchange for a piece of identification that will be returned upon departure.

The house is careful to stay non-smoking.

The regulations do not allow drinking alcohol and eating in the room.

However, we put a place at your disposal (kitchen – dining room – garden) to nibble or have a drink.

The cleaning in the rooms is daily.

For security reasons, we ask you that the front door of the house is double locked when entering and leaving.

Be eco-friendly, be sure to turn off the lights of your private and common areas when you go out.

Our friends pets are not allowed.

Goya, Munch, Handel and Hendrix should not put a paw in the room.

We do not have easy access to the room on the second floor, for people with reduced mobility.

Unrepresented parts or private parties are not left to the free disposal of guests.

The hosts undertake to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay, to declare and to assume financially any possible degradation of which it could be responsible.

Children are the sole responsibility of their parents.

For safety, only people staying at the Villa of the water room of the Swiss are allowed to enter the house.

Versailles

We are 20 minutes away from the railroad station named “Gare des Chantiers“  to Paris Montparnasse, and 15 minutes away from “Gare Rive Droite” for gare Saint-Lazare (les grands magasins).
10 minutes away for ”Gare Rive Gauche” (RER C) that reaches Paris  centre (in about  20 minutes) and it will lead you to the other stations, like the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, the Musée d’Orsay
The highway is 5 minutes away by car if you want to visit Monet’s Garden in Giverny, the Museum of Américain  Art impressionists (it takes 45 minutes by car).
